**Job Title : BIM MEP & Electrical Modeler** **Report To :** BIM Coordinator **Job Summary** The BIM MEP & Electrical Modeler is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining accurate 3D BIM models for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems using Autodesk Revit. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure models comply with project specifications, BIM standards, and construction requirements while supporting the timely delivery of project milestones. **Key Responsibilities** **BIM Model Development & Management** * Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for Electrical and MEP systems using Autodesk Revit. * Model HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and ELV systems based on design drawings and project requirements. * Update BIM models to reflect design revisions and client comments. * Create parametric Revit families when required. * Maintain model integrity, accuracy, and consistency throughout the project lifecycle. **Coordination & Clash Resolution** * Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Civil, and other MEP disciplines. * Participate in multidisciplinary model coordination and clash detection using Navisworks Manage. * Resolve clashes and coordination issues in collaboration with project stakeholders. * Ensure constructability and installation feasibility of modeled systems. **Documentation & Deliverables** * Produce coordinated shop drawings, layouts, sections, schedules, and detailed documentation. * Prepare BIM deliverables in accordance with project BIM Execution Plan (BEP). * Export project files in required formats (NWC, IFC, DWG, PDF). * Support project submissions and drawing revisions. **Quality Assurance & Compliance** * Perform model quality checks to ensure compliance with company BIM standards. * Minimize Revit warnings and maintain organized project files. * Follow project naming conventions, worksets, shared coordinates, and BIM protocols. * Assist in maintaining model documentation and revision records. **Collaboration & Communication** * Attend coordination meetings and technical discussions. * Coordinate with design engineers, BIM Coordinators, and project teams. * Communicate technical issues proactively and provide practical modeling solutions. * Support continuous improvement of BIM processes and workflows. **Required Skills & Qualifications** **Education** * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline. **Experience** * Minimum **3–5 years** of experience as a **BIM MEP or Electrical Modeler**. * Experience working on commercial, residential, high-rise, healthcare, hospitality, or infrastructure projects is preferred. * **UAE/GCC project experience is an advantage.** **Technical Skills** * Proficient in Autodesk Revit MEP. * Good knowledge of Navisworks Manage for model review and clash detection. * Proficient in AutoCAD. * Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 is preferred. * Knowledge of Dynamo is an added advantage. * Good understanding of MEP systems, BIM standards, LOD requirements, and construction documentation. **Core Competencies** * Strong technical and analytical skills. * Excellent attention to detail. * Good understanding of multidisciplinary coordination. * Effective communication and teamwork. * Time management and ability to meet project deadlines. * Problem-solving and proactive approach to coordination issues. * Ability to work independently and within a collaborative project environment. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with **ISO 19650 and BIM Execution Plans (BEP)**. * Knowledge of Revit family creation and model optimization. * Experience in preparing coordinated shop drawings and construction documentation. * Immediate availability or short notice period is preferred.
