Job description
Job Title: Cashier.
Company: Sardar Group.
Location: SAS Erbil.
Overall Objective of the Job:
The Cashier(s) are responsible for receiving and disbursing money for payment of purchases in the branch.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Enters funds received from customer purchases into cash manual register and issues voucher.
Accepts cash, cheques, or bankcards for payment; completes cheques and bank card transactions according to the established procedure.
Counts money, gives change, and issues receipts for funds received.
Records all receipts and invoices and keeps an updated information sheet on all payments and receipts to be reviewed by the supervisor.
Performs the transfer of money into the petty cash box according to Sardar Group policies and procedures.
Maintains sufficient amounts of change in the cash drawer.
Performs fiscal count of cash fund, balances cash drawer and receipts, and documents discrepancies.
Deposits all the cash generated in the company into the bank account on a daily basis and according to Sardar Group policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance.
Previous experience as a Cashier, Finance Assistant, or in a similar role; experience in an automotive company is preferred.
Good command of English and Arabic; Kurdish is preferred
Good knowledge of cash handling, payment processing, and basic accounting principles.
Familiarity with accounting systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to accurately handle cash, financial transactions, and daily reconciliations.
Good attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information responsibly.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to identify and report discrepancies or irregular transactions.
