Civil Engineer – Construction Supervision

Reports to: Project Manager Location: Al Ain, Abu Dhabi Experience: Minimum 6 years (UAE Consultancy experience preferred) Qualification Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering UAE Society of Engineers Membership preferred Valid UAE Driving Licence essential Role Purpose Represent Royal Dom on construction sites by ensuring projects are delivered safely, in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, contractual requirements and Abu Dhabi authority regulations. Act as the Engineer's Representative protecting the Client's interests throughout project execution. Key Responsibilities Site Supervision Supervise construction activities. Monitor contractor performance. Verify compliance with approved drawings. Inspect completed works. Monitor quality standards. Quality Control Review Inspection Requests (IRs). Review Material Inspection Requests (MIRs). Witness testing activities. Approve completed works. Identify non-conforming work. Project Monitoring Monitor project progress. Review contractor programmes. Identify delays. Recommend corrective actions. Report project risks. Contractor Management Conduct weekly coordination meetings. Issue site instructions. Review method statements. Review shop drawings. Resolve technical issues. Health & Safety Monitor contractor HSE compliance. Participate in site safety inspections. Report unsafe conditions. Support incident investigations. Client Communication Prepare weekly progress reports. Attend client meetings. Advise clients on construction issues. Escalate risks promptly. Documentation Maintain site records. Review as-built documentation. Verify payment applications. Support project close-out.
