Connect to your opportunity We are seeking a skilled and passionate Node.js Application Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational excellence, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our production Node.js applications hosted on AWS. You will work closely with development teams to ensure smooth deployments, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to optimize performance, reliability, and scalability. As a full stack operate (3 rd level support) engineer you will: * Manage and maintain production Node.js applications deployed on AWS infrastructure. * Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems to ensure application health and performance. * Proactively identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, errors, and other production issues. * Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployments and implement CI/CD pipelines. * Contribute to the development of automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency. * Stay up-to-date with the latest Node.js best practices, AWS services, and DevOps methodologies. * Contribute to the development of ReactJS, NextJS for frontend web development. Connect to your skills and professional experience As an engineer with a strong base of software engineering and 3 rd level supporrt, it will be your job to build and operate / support technical platforms and systems that underpin some of our most exciting client projects. We are looking for individuals who can embed themselves with our clients and multinational Deloitte teams and work with other developers, business analysts and test managers; ensuring that systems are built in a way that makes them fast, maintainable and able to handle frequent incremental change. **What you must have:** * 3 – 6 years of relevant experience. * Proven experience developing and deploying production-ready Node.js applications. * ReactJS, NextJS for frontend web development * Strong understanding of AWS services such as Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, and others. * Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. * Proficiency in setting up and managing monitoring and logging systems (e.g., Splunk, New Relic, ELK stack). * Experience with serverless architectures and AWS Lambda. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Experience of agile methodologies and associated toolsets and code repositories * Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills * Self-motivated and organised person * High level of attention to detail, the ability to think architecturally at ‘big picture’ and able to translate this into practical implementation **Desirable:** * Knowledge of security best practices for web application * Experience with Apollo Server * Experience with SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions **What we would like you to have:** Good communication skills and the ability to work as a part of a squad – reaching out to team members, good interaction in sprint ceremonies like story grooming, retrospective etc. **Qualities we are looking for:** **You’re a natural at taking initi
