Design Engineer for Low Voltage

**Job Summary** The Low Voltage Design Engineer creates comprehensive electrical system designs, single-line diagrams (SLDs). **Key Responsibilities** - Draft detailed plans for main switchboards, distribution boards, small power distribution, and grounding/earthing systems - Compute precise electrical load estimations, maximum demand, cable sizing, short-circuit metrics, and voltage drops. - Conduct indoor and emergency lighting simulations using specialized software to ensure adequate lux levels and energy efficiency. - Coordinate or design Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) components, including fire alarms, CCTV surveillance, access control, smart building systems, and structured IT cabling. - Use 3D modeling platforms to review and resolve spatial design conflicts with HVAC, plumbing, and structural components. - Prepare submission packages for local utility companies and municipal civil defense bodies to obtain project permits. - Generate detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs), cable schedules, and technical data sheets while offering remote or site-level troubleshooting. **Required Technical Skills** Deep operational knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit (MEP) for 3D BIM modeling. Expertise in DIALux or DIALux evo for architectural lighting, and electrical calculation tools like ETAP or Amtech. **Qualifications & Experience** · Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering.
