Education Officer (NO-2), TA (364 days)

Under the supervision of the Chief of Education, provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programmes/projects within the Country Programme, focusing on system building, equitable access to quality learning, and improving learning outcomes under the EU-ITALEEM project. Responsibilities Provide professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programmes/projects within the Country Programme. Support programme development and planning. Manage, monitor and deliver results of the EU-ITALEEM project. Provide technical and operational support to programme implementation of ITALEEM project. Engage in networking and partnership building. Support innovation, knowledge management and capacity building under the EU-ITALEEM project. Requirements A university degree (bachelor’s degree) in one of the following fields is required: education, psychology, sociology or another relevant technical field. A minimum of two years of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research in education is required. Strong skills in programme management, education programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation, education systems strengthening, partnership building, and data analysis and reporting to support the successful delivery of education programmes. Fluency in English and Arabic is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset. Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset. Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset. Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
