Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, coordination, review, and management of electrical engineering activities for construction projects. The role involves preparing and reviewing technical documents, ensuring compliance with project specifications and applicable codes, coordinating with project stakeholders, and providing engineering support throughout the project lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities:** * Prepare, review, and coordinate electrical design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals. * Review material submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and relevant standards. * Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, and equipment selection. * Prepare and review single-line diagrams, load schedules, and distribution board schedules. * Coordinate with civil, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and ELV disciplines to resolve design conflicts. * Prepare requests for information (RFIs), technical queries (TQs), method statements, and engineering reports. * Assist in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and variation proposals. * Ensure designs comply with local authority requirements, including utility providers and regulatory authorities. * Review contractor submissions and provide technical comments and recommendations. * Support procurement by evaluating technical offers and vendor documentation. * Monitor project progress from an engineering perspective and provide technical support to site teams. * Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers. * Maintain engineering documentation, drawing revisions, and project records. * Assist in testing, commissioning planning, and project handover documentation. * Ensure compliance with applicable international standards such as IEC, NFPA, BS, and local regulations. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. * **Equivelancy Certificate in mandatory.** * **ADQCC certificate is an advantage**. * Professional engineering experience in building services or construction projects. * Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications. * Good understanding of electrical distribution systems, lighting, power, fire alarm, ELV, and grounding systems. * Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
