Junior Accountant

About the Company E M Square Electrical Contracting & Maintenance LLC is a growing electrical contracting company specializing in electrical installation, maintenance, and infrastructure projects across Abu Dhabi. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented **Junior Accountant** to join our team. Job Responsibilities * Maintain daily accounting records and financial transactions. * Prepare and record purchase invoices, sales invoices, and payment vouchers. * Process supplier and subcontractor payments. * Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. * Reconcile bank statements and company accounts. * Assist in preparing monthly financial reports. * Maintain petty cash and expense records. * Coordinate with project engineers and procurement regarding project costs. * Prepare payroll and employee expense reimbursements. * Ensure proper filing and documentation of accounting records. * Assist with VAT records and compliance in accordance with UAE regulations. * Support external auditors and management during financial reviews. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * **Previous experience in a contracting company is** preferable (preferably electrical or construction contracting). * 1-2- years of accounting experience in the UAE is preferred. * Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, ERP, or similar). * Strong numerical and analytical skills. * Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage). * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications * Experience handling project costing and subcontractor accounts. * Familiarity with construction or electrical contracting documentation. * Knowledge of LPOs, invoices, payment certificates, and project billing.
