Role Description The Kurdish-Speaking Mental Health Specialist will provide in-person mental health services to clients in a part-time, on-site capacity. Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, delivering individual and group counseling, and offering culturally responsive support to Kurdish-speaking clients. The specialist will develop and implement care plans, coordinate case management, and collaborate with other providers to ensure continuity of care. Day-to-day tasks also involve documenting sessions, monitoring client progress, participating in case reviews, and engaging in crisis intervention when required. The role may include outreach, psychoeducation, and participation in wellness initiatives to improve community mental health. Qualifications Strong skills in Mental Health Care and Mental Health, with the ability to provide evidence-informed therapeutic support. Background in Psychology, including knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic approaches. Experience in Case Management, including coordinating services and tracking client progress. Competence in Crisis Intervention, with the ability to respond safely and effectively to urgent mental health needs. Fluency in Kurdish (spoken and written) and professional proficiency in at least one additional relevant language (e.g., Persian or English). Relevant academic degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related mental health field; local licensure or eligibility for licensure where required. Experience working with diverse populations and commitment to non-discriminatory, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive practice. Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
