L2 Server, Storage, Virtualization & Compute Engineer

**Cubit Technologies LLC** is looking for an experienced **L2 Server, Storage, Virtualization & Compute Engineer.** This role involves hands-on administration, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and ensuring high availability of compute and storage environments across physical and virtual platforms. **Key Responsibilities:** * Install, configure, and maintain physical servers (rack/blade) from OEMs such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, Cisco UCS, and Storages * Manage and administer virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix or similar) * Perform provisioning, migration, and decommissioning of virtual machines * Configure and manage storage systems (SAN/NAS) including LUN provisioning, zoning, and storage allocation * Monitor server, storage, and compute performance; proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks * Handle L2-level incident escalations related to server, storage, and virtualization issues * Perform patching, firmware upgrades, and OS-level updates (Windows/Linux) * Manage backup and disaster recovery processes for critical systems * Support high availability (HA), clustering, and failover configurations * Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software support, RMA, and warranty claims * Maintain accurate documentation of server/storage inventory, configurations, and SOPs * Conduct capacity planning and recommend infrastructure upgrades * Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement preventive measures * Participate in change management and execute planned maintenance activities **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field * 3–5 years of experience in server, storage, or virtualization administration * Strong hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) * Working knowledge of server hardware (Dell, HP, Cisco UCS, Lenovo) * Experience with storage technologies (SAN/NAS, EMC, NetApp, HPE storage, etc.) * Proficiency in server OS administration (Windows Server, Linux/RHEL) * Understanding of backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, or similar) * Familiarity with clustering, HA, and disaster recovery concepts * Knowledge of monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, vRealize Operations) * Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) is a plus * Understanding of ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management) * Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills * Good communication and documentation skills **Certifications (Preferred):** * VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) or Nutanix * Microsoft Certified: Windows Server / Azure Administrator * Dell/HPE/Cisco server certifications * Storage certifications (NetApp NCDA, EMC Proven Professional) * ITIL Foundation Please send in your CV on **[email protected]** with position mentioned in the subject.
