MEP Design Engineer

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and technically competent **MEP Design Engineer** to join our engineering/project team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, reviewing, and implementing **Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP)** systems for building and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and review MEP design drawings, layouts, schematics, and technical documentation. * Design and coordinate **HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting, and other MEP systems**. * Develop detailed engineering calculations, equipment schedules, material specifications, and BOQs. * Coordinate MEP designs with architectural, structural, and civil drawings. * Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions. * Ensure designs comply with **UAE authority requirements, relevant codes, standards, and project specifications**. * Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams. * Conduct site inspections and resolve design-related technical issues. * Identify clashes and coordinate solutions using **AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP/BIM**. * Support project teams during construction and commissioning stages. * Prepare technical reports and maintain proper engineering documentation. Qualifications & Requirements * **Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related MEP discipline.** * Minimum **3–5 years of UAE/GCC experience** in MEP design and engineering. * Strong knowledge of building services and MEP systems. * Proficiency in **AutoCAD** is required. * Experience with **Revit MEP/BIM** will be an advantage. * Good knowledge of UAE authority regulations and applicable international standards. * Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. * Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/deadlines. * UAE driving license is an advantage. Preferred Candidate Candidates with experience in **facility management, building construction, HVAC projects, Building AMC, commercial/residential buildings, and MEP contracting** will be preferred.
