MEP Mechanical Draftman

**Job Summary** We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman to prepare accurate mechanical drawings and shop drawings for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems. The ideal candidate should have experience in drafting, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring drawings comply with project specifications and relevant standards. **Key Duties & Responsibilities** * Prepare detailed mechanical shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings. * Produce HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other mechanical services drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software. * Interpret engineering designs, specifications, and contract documents. * Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers, Project Managers, Architects, Structural Engineers, and MEP teams to resolve design and site issues. * Prepare coordinated MEP drawings and ensure clash-free layouts. * Revise drawings based on engineer comments, client requirements, and site conditions. * Prepare material take-offs from approved drawings when required. * Ensure all drawings comply with local authority regulations, project specifications, and company standards. * Maintain proper documentation and version control of all drawings. * Attend coordination meetings and provide drafting support throughout the project lifecycle. * Assist in preparing submissions for consultant and authority approvals. * Conduct site visits when necessary to verify dimensions and update as-built drawings. * Ensure timely completion of drawings to meet project schedules. * Coordinate with the fabrication and installation teams to support project execution. * Maintain confidentiality of project information and technical documents. **Qualifications & Requirements** * Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting Technology. * Minimum **3–5 years** of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman, preferably in MEP contracting or building construction. * Proficiency in **AutoCAD** is mandatory. * Working knowledge of **Revit MEP** and **BIM** is an advantage. * Strong understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, and Mechanical systems. * Familiarity with UAE building codes, local authority requirements, and international drafting standards. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. * Strong communication and teamwork abilities. * Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. **Preferred Skills** * Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, and fit-out projects. * Knowledge of coordination with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines. * Experience in preparing coordinated shop drawings and as-built documentation. * Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications Work Location: In person
