Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of multiple commercial landscaping and technical works projects. The role involves strategic planning, resource management, project oversight, commercial performance, client coordination, and continuous process improvement. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills and extensive UAE experience managing large-scale commercial developments. Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management * Oversee the day-to-day operations of commercial landscaping, swimming pool, irrigation, water feature, hardscape, softscape, civil, and technical works projects. * Develop operational strategies to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. * Monitor overall project performance, productivity, quality, and client satisfaction. * Ensure effective coordination between operations, engineering, procurement, commercial, and support departments. * Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives. 2. Project Planning & Delivery * Plan, coordinate, and monitor project execution from mobilization through final handover. * Review project schedules, resource plans, budgets, and execution strategies. * Ensure project milestones and contractual obligations are achieved. * Identify operational risks and implement mitigation and recovery plans. * Support Project Managers in resolving technical and operational challenges. 3. Team Leadership & Resource Management * Lead, mentor, and supervise Project Managers, Engineers, Site Supervisors, Foremen, and operational teams. * Allocate manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and resources across multiple projects. * Monitor workforce productivity and optimize resource utilization. * Conduct regular operational meetings, site reviews, and performance evaluations. * Promote teamwork, accountability, and a high-performance culture. 4. Client & Stakeholder Management * Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, subcontractors, suppliers, and government authorities. * Attend client meetings, progress reviews, and project coordination meetings. * Ensure timely resolution of client concerns and operational issues. * Represent the company professionally in all project-related matters. 5. Commercial & Cost Management * Monitor project budgets, operational costs, procurement activities, and resource utilization. * Support project profitability through effective cost control and operational efficiency. * Review variations, claims, and change orders in coordination with commercial and project teams. * Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality or project delivery. 6. Quality, Health, Safety & Compliance * Ensure compliance with company QA/QC procedures, HSE policies, and UAE regulations. * Monitor implementation of quality standards across all project sites. * Conduct regular site inspections and operational audits. * Ensure corrective actions are implemented for quality and safety observations. * Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness. 7. Procurement & Supply Chain Coordination * Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. * Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance. * Ensure project procurement aligns with schedules and operational priorities. 8. Reporting & Performance Management * Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for senior management. * Monitor project KPIs, resource utilization, productivity, profitability, and operational performance. * Analyze project performance data and recommend process improvements. * Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives. 9. Process Improvement * Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices. * Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and service delivery. * Support digitalization and operational reporting initiatives where applicable. * Drive continuous improvement across all operational functions. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum **10 years of UAE experience** in an Operations Manager or similar leadership role within landscaping, construction, MEP, or technical works companies. * Proven experience managing large-scale commercial landscaping and construction projects. * Strong understanding of UAE construction practices, contract administration, project delivery, and operational management. Technical Skills * Strong knowledge of landscaping, swimming pool, irrigation, hardscape, softscape, civil, and technical works. * Experience in project planning, budgeting, cost control, and resource management. * Understanding of QA/QC procedures, HSE regulations, and UAE construction standards. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. * Working knowledge of Pri
