Tearfund is seeking a motivated Project Assistant to support the implementation of its Iraq programme within a consortium project.
In coordination with the Programme Quality Director (PQD) and Project Coordinator, to support the implementation of Tearfund's project and liaison with consortium partners to ensure timely delivery, effective monitoring, and compliance with Tearfund Quality Standards in support of the Iraq Strategy.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Development Studies, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Economics, Business
Experience in an administrative, office support, or project support role.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain filing systems and keep project records accurate and up to date.
Proficiency in IT skills, specifically Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and MS Office (Excel).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
Ability to work effectively in a team, follow instructions, and meet deadlines.
A proactive approach to assisting with daily project tasks.
The Ideal Candidate Should Also Have
Up to 2 years of experience in project support, coordination, or humanitarian/development work
Experience of reporting, coordination, or stakeholder engagement
Exposure to budgeting/ reporting
Engaging with a variety of stakeholders and sharing learning
Prior experience with international humanitarian organization
Ability to learn new software and reporting tools quickly.
Good coordination and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Good IT skills
Very good interpersonal and negotiation skills
Fluent in spoken and written Arabic
Excellent spoken and written English
Please note that this role will be based in Basra or Muthanna, Iraq. Applicants must possess a valid passport/visa stating the right to live and work in Iraq. Frequent travel within Federal Iraq is required, and occasional trips abroad and KRI. At least 50% travel to the field and project sites in Muthanna.
