QS Engineer

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of landscaping, irrigation, softscape, hardscape, and civil works projects. The role ensures projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality standards and contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities * Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and project specifications. * Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for landscaping, irrigation, softscape, hardscape, and civil works. * Review project drawings and specifications for quantity verification. * Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents. * Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. * Prepare and process subcontract agreements and purchase requests. * Monitor project costs and control expenditures throughout the project. * Measure work completed and prepare monthly progress valuations. * Prepare variation orders (VO), claims, and supporting documents. * Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Procurement, and Finance Departments. * Verify subcontractor invoices and supplier payment certificates. * Maintain records of quantities, cost reports, and contractual documentation. * Assist in project budgeting, forecasting, and final account preparation. * Ensure compliance with contract conditions and project requirements. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. * Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in landscaping, irrigation, or civil construction projects. * Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, and cost estimation. * Familiar with FIDIC contracts and UAE construction standards. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Office. * Experience with quantity surveying software is an advantage. * Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
