About sesame Sesame is an AI assistant built for local businesses like restaurants, cafés, gyms, and other service businesses. It helps businesses answer customer messages across Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger, manage bookings, create social media content, run a QR digital menu, and handle daily customer communication from one place. We’re starting in Iraq and building for MENA. The Role We’re looking for a Sales Rep who can introduce sesame to local businesses, understand how they currently handle customers and social media, demonstrate the product, and turn interested businesses into paying customers. This is a hands-on sales role. You’ll spend time talking directly with business owners and managers, visiting businesses, giving demos, following up with leads, and closing deals. You’ll also work closely with the product team. What you hear from customers matters. Objections, missing features, repeated questions, and reasons businesses buy or don’t buy will help shape sesame. What You’ll Do Find and approach potential customers such as restaurants, cafés, gyms, and other local businesses. Contact leads through calls, WhatsApp, Instagram, and in-person visits. Understand how each business currently handles customer messages, bookings, and social media. Demonstrate sesame using real business scenarios. Explain the product and pricing clearly. Follow up consistently with interested businesses. Close new subscriptions and help customers get started. Keep the sales pipeline and customer information organized. Collect customer feedback and share patterns with the product team. Track your activity and results: leads contacted, meetings, demos, conversions, and revenue. What We’re Looking For Strong communication and people skills. Comfortable approaching and speaking with business owners. Good negotiation and closing skills. Able to explain technology in simple language. Persistent with follow-ups without being pushy. Organized and comfortable working toward clear sales targets. English is a plus. Comfortable using Instagram, WhatsApp, and common business tools. Previous experience in B2B sales, SaaS, technology, hospitality, or selling to local businesses is a plus. You’ll Do Well Here If You don’t wait for leads to come to you. You can walk into a café, speak with the manager, understand how they handle 50 Instagram messages a day, show them how sesame can help, and move the conversation toward a decision. You listen before you sell. You follow up. You know your numbers. And when customers keep giving the same objection, you bring that information back to the team.
