Senior Accountant

Location: Al Ain, UAE Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Group Senior Accountant to manage the accounting and financial operations of two growing businesses: * Diesel Center Generator Renting & Maintenance LLC * GND RASK Restaurant The successful candidate will oversee all accounting functions, ensure compliance with UAE regulations, provide accurate financial reporting, and support management with budgeting, cash flow planning, profitability analysis, and strategic financial decision-making. Key Responsibilities Financial Management * Manage the complete accounting cycle for both companies. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. * Ensure accurate bookkeeping and reconciliation of all accounts. * Monitor cash flow and working capital. * Prepare management reports and financial dashboards. Accounts Receivable & Payable * Oversee customer invoicing and collections. * Monitor outstanding receivables and supplier payments. * Perform customer, supplier, and bank reconciliations. Tax & Compliance * Prepare and submit UAE VAT and Corporate Tax returns. * Ensure compliance with IFRS, FTA regulations, and UAE laws. * Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors and tax consultants. Budgeting & Financial Planning * Prepare annual budgets and forecasts. * Monitor budget versus actual performance. * Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency. Diesel Center Responsibilities * Monitor generator rental revenue and profitability. * Track maintenance contracts (AMC) and project costs. * Control spare parts inventory valuation. * Analyze fleet utilization and operational costs. GND RASK Responsibilities * Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and POS reconciliation. * Review food cost, beverage cost, and gross profit margins. * Monitor inventory variances and wastage. * Analyze branch profitability and delivery platform performance. * Prepare weekly and monthly sales and operational reports. Payroll & Administration * Review payroll and WPS processing. * Monitor employee-related expenses. * Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules. Leadership * Supervise accounting staff. * Develop and improve accounting procedures and internal controls. * Support management with financial analysis and investment decisions. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. * ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent qualification preferred. * Minimum 5–8 years of UAE accounting experience. * At least 3 years in a Senior Accountant or Finance Manager role. * Experience managing accounts for multiple companies is highly preferred. Technical Skills * Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax. * IFRS knowledge. * Advanced Microsoft Excel. * Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Odoo, Tally, SAP, etc.). * Strong analytical and reporting skills. Preferred Industry Experience * Generator rental or equipment rental. * Maintenance and service companies. * Restaurants or hospitality. * Trading and inventory management. * Multi-company accounting. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) * Monthly financial reports submitted by the 5th working day. * 100% VAT and Corporate Tax compliance. * Accounts receivable collection targets achieved. * Bank and supplier reconciliations completed monthly. * Inventory variance maintained within target limits. * Monthly cash flow forecast accuracy. * Reduction in overdue receivables. * Accurate budgeting and variance reporting.
