Senior Electrical Design Engineer

With over 14,000 professionals globally, GHD is a leading multidisciplinary professional services company delivering engineering, design, and advisory solutions across water, energy, resources, environment, property & buildings, and transportation sectors. **About the Role** As a Senior Design Electrical Engineer, you will lead the electrical design scope across a variety of infrastructure, buildings, and transport projects. You will provide technical direction, mentor junior engineers, and ensure delivery excellence in compliance with local authority regulations and international standards. **Roles & Responsibilities** * Lead the design of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, earthing, and lightning protection. * Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. * Conduct electrical calculations: load analysis, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop, and cable sizing. * Ensure compliance with DEWA, ADDC, UAE Fire Code, and other authority requirements. * Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. * Supervise junior engineers and ensure adherence to delivery standards and procedures. * Provide technical leadership and resolve design challenges using industry best practices. * Maintain client relationships and ensure repeat business through excellent service and delivery. May be responsible for smaller or routine projects as Project Manager. **Qualifications & Experience** * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. * Minimum 8+years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the UAE. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and electrical design software. * Strong understanding of UAE authority requirements and international codes. * Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
