Join us. **Job Description** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. * Lead and supervise the on-site engineering team, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to timelines * Conduct regular inspections of workmanship and materials to maintain quality standards and compliance with project specifications * Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project success * Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and change orders * Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, implementing innovative solutions to overcome challenges * Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline project processes and enhance overall performance * Implement and oversee sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processes * Utilize BIM technology to improve project visualization, coordination, and efficiency * Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing * Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for stakeholders **Qualifications** Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred * Minimum of 20 years of experience in building engineering, with a focus on managing large-scale projects * Proven track record in overseeing complex building projects in the Middle East * In-depth knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and best practices * Strong understanding of building development, construction methodologies, and quality control processes * Excellent project management skills, including budget and schedule management * Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail * Outstanding leadership and team management skills * Strong technical report writing and communication abilities * Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously * Willingness to work on-site and travel as required for project needs * Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE * Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and implement innovative solutions **Additional Information** *At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.* ***To support this commitment, all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.*** **About AECOM** AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
