Site Electrical Engineer **Burtville Developments** **Location:** Abu Dhabi, UAE How to Apply Please carefully review the job description and minimum requirements below. **Step 1:** Complete the application questionnaire using the following link: ***https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/iRiFMxWXes*** **Step 2:** Send your updated CV and supporting documents to: **[email protected]** **Email Subject Format:** Full Name - Site Electrical Engineer / Jemsel ABC - Site Electrical Engineer **Required Attachments** * Updated CV * Professional Registrations / Memberships * Project Portfolio (if available) * Educational Certificates * Degree Attestation (if available) Position Purpose The Site Electrical Engineer shall supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, authority approvals, and handover of electrical and ELV systems, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, safety requirements, and project design intent. **Key Responsibilities** * Supervise MV and LV electrical distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, lighting, emergency lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection, and related installations. * Supervise ELV systems including fire alarm, CCTV, access control, structured cabling, ICT, intercom, public address, SMATV/IPTV, parking systems, and other specialist systems. * Review electrical shop drawings, calculations, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, ITPs, and coordination drawings. * Ensure compliance with approved designs, utility requirements, Civil Defence regulations, and project specifications. * Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, architectural, structural, BMS, and fire & life safety systems. * Lead and supervise Electrical Inspectors and review WIRs, MIRs, inspection reports, test records, and NCRs. * Inspect electrical materials and equipment delivered to site and verify compliance with approved submittals. * Monitor installation quality of cables, containment systems, panels, switchboards, transformers, generators, earthing systems, and ELV equipment. * Witness testing and commissioning activities, including insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, protection, functional, fire alarm, ELV, and integrated systems testing. * Coordinate authority inspections, energization activities, handover requirements, snagging, de-snagging, and project close-out documentation. **Minimum Qualifications & Experience** * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. * Minimum **10 years of professional experience in the UAE**. * Minimum **5 years of consultant-side construction supervision experience** on major building projects. * Proven Engineering Consultancy or PMC experience is required. * Strong experience in LV distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, fire alarm systems, emergency systems, ELV systems, testing, commissioning, energization, and authority handover. * Valid DMT Engineer Licence or eligibility to obtain registration before mobilization. * Good knowledge of IEC, BS, NFPA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, utility requirements, and Abu Dhabi authority procedures. * Experience on major residential, mixed-use, hospitality, high-rise, or community-development projects. * Ability to review electrical calculations, technical studies, testing procedures, coordination drawings, and commissioning reports. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM platforms, Navisworks, Microsoft Office, and EDMS systems. * Strong leadership, technical reporting, coordination, and problem-solving skills. * Excellent written and spoken English. **Important Notice** Only candidates meeting the minimum UAE experience requirement will be considered.
