Site Mechanical Engineer **Burtville Developments** **Location:** Abu Dhabi, UAE How to Apply Please carefully review the job description and minimum requirements below. **Step 1:** Complete the application questionnaire using the following link: ***https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/iRiFMxWXes*** **Step 2:** Send your updated CV and supporting documents to: **[email protected]** **Email Subject Format:** Full Name - Site Mechanical Engineer / Jemsel ABC - Site Mechanical Engineer **Required Attachments** * Updated CV * Professional Registrations / Memberships * Project Portfolio (if available) * Educational Certificates * Degree Attestation (if available) Position Purpose The Site Mechanical Engineer shall supervise all mechanical building-services installations and ensure that HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, water-supply, gas, and associated systems are installed, tested, commissioned, and handed over in accordance with the Contract, approved design, specifications, and authority requirements. **Key Responsibilities** * Supervise HVAC, chilled-water, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, smoke-control, irrigation, swimming pool, and related mechanical systems. * Review mechanical shop drawings, coordination drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, ITPs, and technical submissions. * Verify compliance of equipment, materials, and installations with approved specifications and project requirements. * Coordinate mechanical works with architectural, structural, electrical, fire alarm, BMS, landscape, and infrastructure systems. * Supervise Mechanical Inspectors and review WIRs, MIRs, inspection reports, and test records. * Monitor installation quality for ductwork, piping, insulation, pumps, valves, tanks, chillers, AHUs, and related equipment. * Witness testing and commissioning activities including pressure testing, flushing, balancing, equipment start-up, functional testing, and integrated system testing. * Coordinate inspections and approvals with Civil Defence and relevant authorities. * Identify non-conforming work and initiate corrective actions and NCR close-out. * Participate in snagging, de-snagging, authority inspections, handover, and project close-out activities. **Minimum Qualifications & Experience** * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Minimum **10 years of professional experience in the UAE**. * Minimum **5 years of consultant-side construction supervision experience** on major building projects. * Proven Engineering Consultancy or PMC experience is required. * Strong experience in HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, smoke-control systems, testing and commissioning, and authority handover processes. * Valid DMT Engineer Licence or eligibility to obtain registration before mobilization. * Good knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and Abu Dhabi authority requirements. * Experience on major residential, mixed-use, hospitality, high-rise, or community-development projects. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM platforms, Navisworks, Microsoft Office, and EDMS systems. * Strong coordination, reporting, technical review, and problem-solving skills. * Excellent written and spoken English. **Important Notice** Only candidates meeting the minimum UAE experience requirement will be considered.
