Technical Sales Engineer

Job Title: Senior Technical Sales Engineer Department: Sales & Engineering Location: Abu Dhabi Reports to: Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Job Summary: A Senior Technical Sales Engineer combines technical knowledge with sales skills to offer innovative solutions and products to clients. This role requires extensive experience in electromechanical systems, particularly pumps, valves, instrumentation, and related systems. The successful candidate will actively engage in developing business opportunities, providing technical support, and managing key client relationships. Key Responsibilities: * Technical Sales and Consultation: * Provide technical expertise to clients, helping them select suitable electromechanical products (e.g., pumps, valves, flow meters, transmitters). * Present technical solutions clearly and confidently to clients and consultants. * Conduct site visits to assess client requirements and offer tailored solutions. * Perform technical product demonstrations and training sessions for clients. * Business Development: * Identify and develop new business opportunities within target markets. * Prepare and present professional, detailed commercial proposals and technical submittals. * Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to enhance market presence. * Client Relationship Management: * Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients. * Provide ongoing support, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. * Resolve client technical issues and manage warranty claims effectively. * Market Analysis: * Analyze market trends and competitor activities to recommend strategic initiatives. * Regularly report on market opportunities and sales performance. * Provide detailed reports and forecasts for management review. * Project Coordination: * Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and execution teams to ensure accurate project scope and timely delivery. * Manage and oversee project documentation, compliance with standards, and client approvals. * Coordinate closely with logistics and procurement teams to ensure timely product delivery. * Track project timelines and budgets, proactively identifying and resolving potential delays. * Training and Mentorship: * Provide technical and sales training for junior engineers and sales staff. * Mentor team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill enhancement. * Technical Documentation and Compliance: * Prepare detailed technical documentation, including test certificates and compliance reports. * Ensure all solutions and products meet regulatory and industry standards. * After-Sales Support: * Oversee commissioning and installation processes, providing expert support as required. * Follow up with clients post-installation to ensure system performance meets expectations. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline. * Minimum 5–7 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in electromechanical fields (pumps, valves, instrumentation). * Proven track record of achieving sales targets and maintaining strong client relationships. * Strong technical understanding of electromechanical systems and equipment. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. * Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite. * Fluent in English (Arabic proficiency advantageous). * Valid UAE driving license preferred.
