Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced **Sr. Accountant** with a strong background in the F&B sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting project accounting and cost tracking. **F&B experience is mandatory** **Key Responsibilities:** **1. Financial Management & Reporting** * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards. * Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. * Prepare and review bank reconciliations and cash flow statements. * Monitor and control daily cash positions and ensure timely deposits. **2. Cost Control & Inventory Management** * Monitor food & beverage costs, identify variances, and report to management. * Work closely with operations and procurement to ensure proper inventory accounting and cost allocation. * Implement controls to minimize wastage and pilferage. **3. Budgeting & Forecasting** * Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts for all outlets. * Analyze variances between actuals and budget, and provide recommendations for improvement. **4. Compliance & Audit** * Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and file accurate VAT returns on time. * Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and resolve audit queries. * Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions and statutory compliance. **5. Systems & Process Improvement** * Ensure proper utilization of POS systems and ERP for accurate reporting. * Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and financial controls. * Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. * Prepare and review bank reconciliations and cash flow statements. * Monitor and control daily cash positions and ensure timely deposits. **Qualifications and Skills:** * Available to start immediately * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * Minimum 8–10 years of accounting experience * Strong knowledge of project accounting and cost control. * Proficiency in accounting software * Good understanding of IFRS and local tax regulations Job Type: Full-time Experience: * F&B: 3 years (Required) Work Location: In person
