Accountant

Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with experience in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, monitoring project costs, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience in a construction company. * Strong knowledge of construction accounting, project costing, and financial reporting. * Experience with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, ERP, SAP, or similar). * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. * Knowledge of VAT and tax regulations. * Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Key Duties & Responsibilities * Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. * Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability. * Process accounts payable and accounts receivable. * Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow. * Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory reports. * Manage payroll and employee expense reimbursements. * Handle subcontractor and supplier payments. * Prepare project cost reports and support budget planning. * Assist with internal and external audits. * Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. * Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. * Support management with financial analysis and cost-control reporting. Preferred Qualifications * Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage. * Experience with contract billing, subcontractor accounting, and construction ERP systems. **How to Apply:** Please send your updated CV with your current salary, expected salary, and notice period.
