Accountant-Accounts Receivable

**About the Role** The Accountant – (***Accounts Receivable)*** will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts receivable function, ensuring timely customer onboarding, credit approvals, invoicing, collections and maintenance of accurate financial records. The role supports the organization's cash flow by monitoring outstanding receivables, coordinating with customers and internal stakeholders and ensuring compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures. Key Responsibilities **Accounts Receivable** * Review and approve customer applications and credit documentation in accordance with company policies and SOPs. * Process and approve job requests after verifying customer approvals and financial requirements. * Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices within agreed timelines. * Monitor customer receivable balances and aging reports. * Follow up on outstanding invoices and coordinate with customers to ensure timely collections. * Resolve customer billing and payment-related queries professionally. * Escalate overdue accounts to the Finance Team Lead when required. **Financial Operations** * Maintain accurate customer account records and supporting documentation. * Participate in monthly financial closing activities, including assigned job closings and reconciliations. * Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. * Assist in preparing receivable reports and other financial information as required. **Communication & Coordination** * Liaise with the Sales team regarding customer approvals, billing and collections. * Maintain effective communication with customers regarding invoices and outstanding balances. * Share important financial and operational updates with the Finance Team Lead. * Support cross-functional collaboration to resolve customer account issues. **Compliance & Continuous Improvement** * Ensure compliance with company financial policies, internal controls and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information. * Identify opportunities to improve receivable processes and operational efficiency. * Perform any other duties assigned by Management, the Finance Manager, or the Finance Team Lead. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** * Customer approvals completed in accordance with SOPs. * Timely processing of job approvals. * Accurate and timely invoicing. * Effective management of accounts receivable aging. * Timely collection of outstanding payments. * Completion of month-end closing activities within deadlines. * Accuracy and completeness of financial records. * Compliance with company policies and procedures. **Qualifications** **Essential** * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. * Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. * ACCA qualification or equivalent professional accounting certification. **Experience** * Minimum of 2 years' experience in Accounts Receivable within the UAE. * Experience in customer onboarding, credit approvals, billing, invoicing, and collections. * Experience supporting month-end financial closing activities. * Experience with **Zoho Books** or other ERP/accounting software. * Experience within the Logistics or Freight Forwarding industry. **Skills & Competencies** * Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes. * Understanding of customer contracts and commercial documentation. * Excellent communication and customer relationship skills. * Strong negotiation and follow-up abilities. * Good analytical and problem-solving skills. * High attention to detail and accuracy. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel. * Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems. * Ability to work independently and collabo Work Location: In person
