Accountant cum Estimator - Joinery & Fit-Out (Visa + Accommodation Provided)

HMD is a joinery and fit-out contractor in Dubai. We are hiring an accountant who can also price our work. Two sides to the job, and we need both. **What the job is** The accounting: payables, receivables, bank reconciliation, payroll, VAT returns, subcontractor payments, project cost tracking, month-end. Knowing which project a cost belongs to, and telling us when a job is drifting over budget while there is still time to do something about it. The estimating: reading a drawing or a scope, taking off quantities, applying our rates, and preparing the client quotation. Linear metres of joinery, square metres of veneer, hardware counts, labour hours. Then following the quote through to approval and invoicing. You will be taught our rates and our way of doing it. What you need to bring is accuracy and the ability to read a drawing. **What we need** * Commerce or accounting degree. * Some exposure to construction, contracting, joinery or interiors. Project costing is different from ordinary bookkeeping and we would rather not start from zero. * **You can read a drawing and measure from it.** This is the part most accountants cannot do and the part we will test before hiring. * Strong Excel. Lookups, pivots, building your own trackers. * Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, Focus or similar. * Good written English. You will be writing to clients about money. * 0 to 3 years experience. **What we offer** * AED 2,500 to 3,500 per month. * **Free accommodation provided.** * **Employment visa and health insurance provided.** * You will own the finance function rather than being one of six people in a department.
