Accountant

Job Summary **Qutub Minar Building Materials** is seeking a detail-oriented and organized **Accountant** to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards and VAT regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience in a trading or building materials environment. Key Responsibilities * Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries. * Prepare customer invoices, delivery-related billing, credit notes, and process supplier payments accurately and on time. * Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely collections and vendor payments. * Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records. * Monitor customer credit limits and follow up on outstanding receivables. * Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. * Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, accounting standards, and company financial policies. * Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation for audits and regulatory requirements. * Support month-end and year-end closing activities. * Coordinate with the sales, procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure accurate financial documentation and inventory-related transactions. * Liaise with external auditors, suppliers, customers, and government authorities on accounting-related matters. * Reconcile inventory records with accounting records and assist in stock verification when required. * Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. * 1–3 years of accounting experience; experience in the building materials, construction, or trading industry is preferred. * Fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Tally ERP (or similar accounting software). * Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting principles. * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced trading environment.
