Job Details

The ASYCUDA Officer is responsible for supporting the ASYCUDA Supervisor in handling and following up all ASYCUDA-related requirements associated with Cross-Border payments and import transactions. The position ensures that required ASYCUDA information and documentation are properly obtained, recorded, monitored, and followed up in accordance with Central Bank of Iraq (CBI), customs, and internal bank requirements. Key Responsibilities Work under the supervision of the ASYCUDA Supervisor and support the daily processing and monitoring of ASYCUDA-related transactions. Review Cross-Border payment transactions to identify applicable ASYCUDA requirements. Obtain and verify ASYCUDA codes and related information required for import-related transfers. Register, upload, and maintain ASYCUDA-related information and supporting documents in the relevant systems and records. Follow up outstanding ASYCUDA files after execution of payments and monitor completion of the required post-payment procedures. Follow up the arrival of goods and the required supporting customs/import documentation for closure of ASYCUDA files. Coordinate with branches, customers, Trade Finance, International Banking, Compliance, Operations, and other relevant departments regarding incomplete or outstanding ASYCUDA requirements. Maintain accurate records of open, pending, completed, and overdue ASYCUDA cases. Prepare periodic reports and status updates for the ASYCUDA Supervisor and management. Follow up regulatory instructions and procedural updates relating to ASYCUDA and import payments. Ensure that all activities are performed in accordance with CBI regulations, internal policies, AML/CFT requirements, and applicable procedures. Perform any other related duties assigned by the ASYCUDA Supervisor or International Banking Department management. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Previous experience in banking operations, international payments, trade finance, customs/import procedures, or ASYCUDA is preferred. (min. 2-year banking experience is a must) Good understanding of Cross-Border payment documentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow regulatory procedures. Good computer and Microsoft Office skills. Good communication and coordination skills. Arabic and English proficiency; Kurdish would be an advantage.
