Civil Site Engineer

A Dubai based construction company is looking to hire 2 civil site engineers for the following roles & responsibilities on the site: Their core responsibilities include supervising daily site operations, ensuring strict adherence to Dubai Municipality (DM) and Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) building codes, enforcing rigorous health and safety standards, and managing construction materials and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget. key roles and responsibilities, categorized by function: Technical Execution & Supervision * **Drawing Interpretation:** Translating architectural and structural designs from paper to physical execution, while interpreting survey reports and ensuring spatial accuracy. * **Quality Assurance & Control:** Conducting routine site inspections to guarantee all concrete pouring, steel fixing, masonry, and finishing works meet project specifications. * **Defect Resolution:** Identifying non-conformance works and issuing corrective actions to prevent project delays or structural failures. * **Surveying:** Overseeing site leveling, structural layout, dimension controls, and elevations using precise survey equipment like Total Stations and GPS. Regulatory & Authority Compliance * **Local Standards:** Ensuring all civil works strictly comply with Dubai Municipality (DM) and Dubai Civil Defense (DCD) safety/building regulations. * **Utility Approvals:** Coordinating and preparing documentation required to obtain and clear Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) or telecommunication NOCs. Resource & Project Management * **Material Management:** Verifying the quality and quantity of delivered construction materials (e.g., steel, cement, concrete) and monitoring daily material consumption. * **Subcontractor Coordination:** Directing the daily tasks of foremen, masons, steel fixers, and various MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) subcontractors to maintain workflow. * **Progress Reporting:** Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for Project Managers, outlining milestones achieved and potential bottlenecks. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) * **Safety Enforcement:** Implementing strict HSE protocols, including mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensuring safe scaffolding and excavation practices. * **Site Inspections:** Mitigating site hazards, particularly extreme heat management during the Dubai summer months, to prevent worker injuries. * **Common qualifications and software skills required** (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera) * **Must have:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. * Basic Civil engineering skills: CAD **AutoCAD** Design Skills **Site Development** Database Design **Planning** Conceptual Skills **Problem Solving** * Good knowledge of the local construction market requirements * UAE Driving license holder preferred * High sense of responsibility and takes ownership of work * Must be a team-player, self-motivated and highly-organized * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Job Type: Full-time Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month Application Question(s): * Must be able to join immediately and located in UAE Education: * Bachelor's (Required) Experience: * Civil Site Engineering: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
