Design and Estimation Engineer

**Job Title:** Design & Estimation Engineer **Location:** Dubai, UAE **Role Overview** Our client is seeking a motivated and technically proficient Design & Estimation Engineer to support the planning and execution of fire protection projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering designs, estimating project costs, and ensuring that all solutions meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires close collaboration with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver efficient and compliant fire safety solutions. **Primary Responsibilities** * Produce detailed engineering drawings and layouts for fire alarm, sprinkler, and fire fighting systems. * Evaluate tender documents, project specifications, and BOQs to prepare reliable material take-offs and cost estimates. * Perform site inspections to collect project information and verify design requirements. * Develop technical documentation, including material submittals, ensuring compliance with client specifications and UAE Civil Defense regulations. * Obtain pricing, technical data, and product approvals by coordinating with manufacturers and suppliers. * Provide technical assistance to project teams during installation and execution, resolving design-related queries when required. * Verify that all proposed systems comply with NFPA guidelines and applicable local codes. * Maintain accurate project records and support engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. **Qualifications & Skills** * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field. * Minimum of 2 years of UAE experience in the design and estimation of fire protection systems. * Strong working knowledge of NFPA standards and UAE Civil Defense requirements. * Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications. * Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities. * Capable of managing multiple projects while delivering high-quality work within deadlines. **What We're Looking For** * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to engineering accuracy. * Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. * A proactive approach to coordinating with stakeholders and delivering practical fire protection solutions.
