Design Architect

**Overall Purpose of the role** **The Architect II role is in the early stages of their career, with some experience in a practice that mainly concentrates on design and production and is highly proficient in current software.** **Key Objectives** · To be actively involved in the delivery of project packages or parts of projects as part of the team · To be actively involved in the design and technical production of projects · To gain better understanding with local and international codes and standards and apply it throughout the project · To participate on stakeholder management · To have a better understanding on utilizing the latest software to deliver the project · To have a clear understanding with the project brief and incorporate it in the design · Ability to take initiative in response to direction or instruction · Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently · Able to manage sensitive confidential information · Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to priorities duties and work effectively under pressure while remaining calm and professional at all times Desirable · Ability to assist with the management of junior assistant architects on the team **Person Profile** **Education and Training** · Degree educated – Bachelor’s degree in Architecture – honours optional. · Excellent design skills · Experienced in generating 3D design model/visuals · Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino 3D, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office · **Proficient in Revit**, Grasshopper or Vray is a plus · Hand sketching skills are a must · Model making skills are desirable · Excellent command of written and spoken English · Member of UAE Society Engineers. · + years’ experience as a registered Architect. · Completed Stage 3-5+ on a large-scale complex project. **Experience** · Previous experience in an office environment working as part of a team is preferred · **Project stages –** minimum of concept and schematic · **Industry Experience –** Internships undertaken at 2 or more reputable practices highly regarded plus post graduate working experience as below 8+ years’ experience (or equivalent) working in the Architecture Work Location: In person
