Estimation Engineer

**Overview:** Kinetics Group seeking an experienced **Estimation Engineer** to prepare accurate cost estimates, material take-offs, and technical proposals for sheet metal fabrication projects. The role also supports procurement activities through supplier coordination, quotation analysis, and material planning to ensure cost-effective project execution. **Key Responsibilities:** * Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates, material take-offs, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs). * Prepare sheet metal nesting plans and manufacturing cost calculations for fabrication projects. * Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotations, evaluate pricing, and support material procurement activities. * Prepare commercial comparisons, cost analyses, and recommend cost-effective purchasing solutions. * Coordinate with production and planning teams to ensure timely material availability and project schedules. * Prepare technical documentation, estimation reports, and maintain accurate project records. * Support continuous improvement in estimation, material planning, procurement, and cost optimization processes. **Skills Attributes Required:** * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline. * Minimum **3 years** of experience in estimation within a sheet metal fabrication, steel fabrication, or manufacturing environment. * Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, material estimation, manufacturing methods, and cost analysis. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and sheet metal nesting software. * Experience preparing BOQs, material take-offs, supplier enquiries, and commercial comparisons. * Knowledge of acoustic products such as acoustic louvers, sound attenuators, silencers, or acoustic enclosures is an advantage. * Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills with excellent attention to detail.
