Junior Project Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Project Accountant to support project-level financial operations. The role focuses on maintaining accurate records, managing supplier payments, and monitoring cashflow to ensure financial integrity and compliance with project budgets. Key Responsibilities * Manage **Accounts Payable and Receivable** for assigned projects. * Review, validate, and process **supplier invoices** in line with contractual terms. * Monitor **payment schedules** to ensure timely disbursements and compliance with budgets. * Track project **cash inflows and outflows**, ensuring alignment with financial requirements. * Prepare **rolling cashflow forecasts** to anticipate funding needs. * Highlight potential **cashflow shortfalls** and recommend corrective actions. * Collaborate with **procurement teams and project managers** to ensure financial accuracy. * Compile, organise, and document **source information** for necessary accounting entries. * Maintain accurate records of **project expenditures and commitments**. Qualifications * Minimum **Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business**, or related discipline. Experience & Skills * Minimum **5 years of accounting/project finance experience**. * Strong knowledge of **cashflow forecasting and financial controls**. * Proficiency in **Xero (mandatory)** and **Microsoft Excel (intermediate level)**. * Attention to detail, accuracy, and a methodical approach to work. * Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
