We are currently expanding our finance team and looking for a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment .**Job Description:**We are seeking a results-driven **Mid-Level Project & Collections Accountant**. This is a unique role that bridges technical corporate accounting with active field-based payment collection. **Important Note on Work Culture:** This is not a strict 9-to-5 desk job. We operate in a deadline-driven industry where project handovers, closing cycles, and client meetings often require high availability and flexible working hours. We need a dedicated individual who prioritizes task execution and project completion over a fixed clock.**Key Responsibilities:** * **Active Field Collections:** Drive to commercial sites, client offices, and residential villas across the UAE to secure cheques and speed up outstanding payment releases. * **Client & Dispute Management:** Act as the primary financial liaison for clients. Handle difficult payment recovery conversations professionally, resolve billing discrepancies, and clear up outstanding disputes. * **Project Milestone Billing:** Generate and issue accurate invoices based on project completion percentages (e.g., initial concept, MEP stage, joinery installation, final handover). * **Cost Tracking & Variation Orders:** Monitor fit-out project budgets. Track variations, extra work orders, and material cost updates against initial client estimates. * **Financial Reporting:** Maintain real-time Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports, and prepare monthly balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow forecasts. * **Vendor Reconciliation:** Manage advance payments, retention bonds, and final payouts for local subcontractors and material suppliers. **Requirements & Qualifications:** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / CMA) is a plus. * **Experience:** 3 to 5 years of solid accounting experience in the **UAE interior design, fit-out, or construction sectors** (Mandatory). * **Driving License:** Valid **UAE driving license** with a clean driving record (Mandatory). * **Communication Skills:** Flawless verbal and written English communication skills. Must be assertive, polite, and comfortable negotiating payments with high-net-worth clients. * **Mindset:** Highly resilient, proactive, and willing to work extended or irregular hours during critical project deadlines and monthly closing phases. * **Technical Skills:** High proficiency in ERP software (such as Tally Prime, Odoo, or SAP) and advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables). * **Tax Knowledge:** Sound understanding of UAE VAT regulations, corporate tax basics, and retention bond mechanisms.
