Mechanical Engineer

**Position:** Mechanical Engineer **Location:** Dubai, UAE **Industry:** Construction – Main Contractor (High-Rise Building) Job Summary We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our project team for a high-rise building project in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and inspecting all mechanical works to ensure they are executed in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and project schedules. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and coordinate all mechanical works including HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, LPG, and Mechanical Equipment installations. * Review mechanical shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical specifications. * Ensure all mechanical installations comply with Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defense, DEWA, and project requirements. * Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues. * Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed within the approved schedule. * Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and HSE regulations. * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. * Attend technical and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. * Review and verify work completed for subcontractor payment applications. * Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems. * Identify potential construction issues and recommend practical engineering solutions. * Ensure proper documentation of inspections, approvals, and project records. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Minimum **5 years** of experience with a Main Contractor, preferably in UAE high-rise building construction. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Mechanical services. * Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and Dubai Civil Defense regulations. * Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software. * Excellent communication and coordination skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Preferred Qualifications * UAE driving license is an advantage. * Experience in testing & commissioning. * Knowledge of BIM/Revit is an added advantage. Work Location: In person
