Planning & Cost Control Engineer – Façade, Aluminum & Steel / Metal Works **Location:** Dubai, UAE **Industry:** Façade, Aluminum, Architectural Metal & Steel Works **Employment Type:** Full-time About the Role We are looking for an experienced **Planning & Cost Control Engineer** to join our team and manage project planning, progress monitoring, scheduling, and cost control for façade, aluminum, steel, and architectural metal works projects. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in **construction/project planning and cost control**, with a good understanding of project budgets, productivity, material requirements, project progress, variations, and financial performance. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using **Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent planning software**. * Prepare baseline programs, detailed work schedules, manpower plans, material schedules, and procurement schedules. * Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays, critical activities, and potential risks. * Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Production, Procurement, Estimation, QS, and other departments to ensure timely project execution. * Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, including planned vs. actual progress and recovery programs. * Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify cost variances. * Track **material, manpower, subcontractor, equipment, and other project costs**. * Prepare cost forecasts, cash-flow projections, cost-to-complete reports, and project performance reports. * Monitor productivity and resource utilization and highlight areas of cost overruns or inefficiency. * Review project quantities, budgets, BOQs, variations, and additional works from a planning and cost-control perspective. * Support the commercial and project teams in monitoring **variations, claims, back charges, and financial impacts**. * Coordinate with the procurement and production teams to monitor material requirements, delivery schedules, and associated costs. * Analyze project performance using **planned value, actual cost, earned value, and other relevant KPIs**. * Prepare management reports highlighting project status, cost position, risks, delays, and required corrective actions. * Maintain proper records of project budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasts, and final cost projections. * Assist in project close-out by reviewing final costs, outstanding commitments, and cost performance.
