Planning Engineer-1

Location: Oman Employment Type: Full-Time **Al Bany International Oman** seeking an experienced and proactive **Planning Engineer** to support the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting of major construction and real estate projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, coordinating document submissions, and ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual milestones and project objectives. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, work programs, and progress reports throughout the project lifecycle. * Ensure contractors submit comprehensive master lists of design, technical, and construction documents covering the full project scope. * Monitor the timely submission and review of design and technical documents in accordance with established project timelines and service level requirements. * Track construction progress and analyze schedule performance to identify deviations, delays, and potential risks. * Support the project management team in identifying critical design, procurement, and construction deliverables requiring review and approval. * Monitor project status and proactively report schedule risks, delays, and critical issues to management. * Develop and maintain procurement tracking registers for materials, equipment, and services, highlighting any procurement delays affecting project delivery. * Coordinate and monitor Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical queries to support timely project execution. * Verify the timely submission of as-built drawings, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, warranties, spare parts lists, and project close-out documentation. * Utilize project collaboration platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint Online (SPO), or similar document management systems to manage technical correspondence, document control, and progress tracking. **Qualifications & Experience** * Bachelor's Degree/ Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent qualification in Planning and Scheduling Management. * Minimum 5 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting. * At least 3 years of experience on major real estate or construction projects within the Middle East. * Proven experience in project planning, progress monitoring, schedule analysis, and reporting. * Good understanding of project controls, construction methodologies, and contract requirements. **Technical Requirements** * Proficiency in project planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. * Experience using project collaboration and document management platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint Online (SPO), or equivalent systems. * Familiarity with international engineering codes, standards, and construction specifications. * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and reporting tools. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. * Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and clients. **What We Offer** * Opportunity to work on prestigious construction and infrastructure projects. * Professional growth and career development. * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Dynamic and collaborative work environment.
