Quantity Surveyor

**Position : Quantity Surveyor (MEP)** **Industry : Oil & Gas** **Key Responsibility** **1**. Budget Management: * Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine material, labour, and equipment costs. * Monitor and manage project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets. * Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. 2. Quantity Take-Offs and Bill of Quantities (BOQ): * Perform accurate quantity take-offs from design drawings and specifications. * Prepare and update bills of quantities and material schedules as required. 3. Tendering and Procurement: * Provide cost analysis for procurement decisions and assist in the selection of contractors. 4. Contract Administration: * Review, interpret, and manage construction contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions. * Handle contractual disputes, claims, and variations effectively. * Ensure timely and accurate preparation of interim valuations, payment applications, and final accounts. 5. Cost Monitoring and Reporting: * Monitor project progress and costs to identify variances from the budget. * Prepare and submit regular financial reports to management, highlighting cost trends, risks, and forecasts. * Provide insights and recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements. 6. Collaboration and Communication: * Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure accurate cost management and smooth project execution. * Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to maintain project timelines and quality standards. * Attend project meetings to discuss progress, budget concerns, and other financial matters. 7. Compliance and Documentation: * Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant laws and regulations. * Maintain detailed records of all cost-related activities, correspondence, and documentation. * Support audit and review processes by providing required data and explanations.
