Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. **Job Description:** **Resident Engineer (Stormwater network / Micro Tunneling )** **Dubai, UAE** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Resident Engineer (Stormwater network / Micro Tunneling)** to join our team! In this role you will get to **perform and** **i****ntegrate the various engineering, scheduling, procurement, construction, and start-up aspects of a medium to large -size project.** **What You'll be Doing:** * Lead and supervise all site construction activities related to stormwater drainage and micro tunneling works. * Ensure construction is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards. * Monitor micro tunneling operations, shaft construction, pipe jacking activities, road crossings, dewatering, and associated civil works. * Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), shop drawings, and material submittals. * Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, utility authorities, and government agencies. * Monitor project progress against the approved schedule and recommend corrective actions where required. * Ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations, risk assessments, and permit-to-work requirements. * Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications. * Review contractor progress reports, daily reports, and monthly progress updates. * Identify technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions to minimize delays. * Witness inspections, testing, and commissioning activities related to stormwater systems. * Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), site instructions (SIs), requests for information (RFIs), and technical queries. * Review and verify interim payment applications, variations, and claims related to site works. * Chair and participate in progress meetings, technical coordination meetings, and client meetings. * Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of project records. * Support project completion activities, including testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out documentation. * Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering * Minimum 15+ years experience in **construction and supervision** of **Stormwater network and micro tunneling** projects. * At least 5 years of experience as a Resident Engineer on major stormwater or drainage projects. * Extensive experience in micro tunneling, pipe jacking, trenchless technology, deep shafts, utility crossings, and large-diameter pipelines. * Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and construction administration. * Experience working on projects in the UAE, preferably Dubai. * Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, RTA, DEWA, and other relevant authority requirements is preferred. * Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. * Proficiency in MS Office and project management software. * Broad general engineering background, and irrigation project engineering experience is required * Must have full and complete knowledge of existing infrastructure Networks in the Emirates of Dubai. * Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction, and the proven ability for performing in a supervisory capacity on a project. * Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is required. * Proven leadership capability to lead a senior role. * Commitment to quality and safe work practices.
