Senior Business Development

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development based in Basra to strengthen our presence in Iraq's oil and gas industry. This role combines strategic relationship building with technical knowledge to register our company with key stakeholders and generate sustainable business growth. Requirements Establish and manage the company registration process with major operators, EPCs, and traders in Iraq's oil and gas sector Identify, pursue, and convert high-value business opportunities within the regional energy market Build and nurture strategic relationships with decision-makers across the industry Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions Collaborate with technical teams to provide effective solutions tailored to client needs Prepare comprehensive proposals, presentations, and tender documents Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business development strategies Ensure client satisfaction through regular follow-up and proactive problem-solving Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related technical field 3-5 years of proven experience in business development within Iraq's oil and gas industry Established network of contacts within major operators and EPCs in the Basra region Strong understanding of procurement processes in the oil and gas sector Excellent negotiation and presentation skills Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and verbal) Current residency in Basra with ability to travel throughout southern Iraq Valid driving license and own transportation Benefits Competitive salary package with performance-based incentives Comprehensive health insurance and retirement benefits Transportation allowance Paid 21 days annual leave plus public holidays Professional development opportunities and career advancement Collaborative work environment with supportive leadership.
