Senior Procurement Engineer

**Senior Procurement Engineer – Job Description (UAE Construction)** **Position:** Senior Procurement Engineer **Industry:** Building Construction / Contracting **Location:** UAE **Experience Required:** * Minimum 10 years of total procurement experience. * At least 5 years of UAE experience in the construction industry. * Experience with high-rise, commercial, residential, and villa projects is preferred. Key Responsibilities * Manage the complete procurement cycle for construction projects. * Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best commercial and technical value. * Prepare and analyze RFQs, bid comparisons, purchase orders, and contracts. * Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and quantity surveyors to ensure timely procurement of materials and services. * Review technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs before procurement. * Ensure materials comply with project specifications and client requirements. * Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality standards. * Develop and maintain relationships with approved vendors and subcontractors. * Control procurement costs and identify value engineering opportunities. * Resolve procurement-related issues and expedite urgent material deliveries. * Maintain procurement records, documentation, and reporting. * Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and UAE regulations. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. * Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, including at least 5 years in the UAE construction industry. * Strong knowledge of construction materials, MEP items, finishing materials, and subcontract procurement. * Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. * Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and BOQs. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and procurement software. * Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills. * Valid UAE driving license is an advantage. Preferred Skills * Experience in high-rise and large-scale building projects. * Strong commercial awareness and cost control expertise. * Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. * Excellent leadership and team coordination skills.
