Senior Structural Engineer (Aluminum facade)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with a strong background in façade design and engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the analysis, design, and detailing of façade systems for medium to large-scale building projects. This role involves close coordination with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver innovative, efficient, and safe façade solutions. Key Responsibilities: * Perform structural analysis and design of façade systems including curtain walls, cladding, canopies, skylights, and other building envelope elements. * Ensure façade designs comply with international standards, local codes, and project specifications. * Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers and design teams. * Review and approve structural calculations, shop drawings, and material submittals. * Coordinate with architects, project managers, and production teams to ensure the feasibility and integrity of façade designs. * Conduct value engineering to optimize materials, costs, and performance. * Perform site inspections and resolve structural issues during fabrication and installation phases. * Prepare and present technical reports, design documentation, and method statements. * Collaborate with suppliers and consultants to select appropriate materials and systems. Qualifications & Requirements: * Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred). * Minimum 5–10 years of experience in the façade industry, with a focus on structural engineering. * Gulf experience strongly preferred. * Proficiency in design software such as STAAD Pro, ANSYS, SAP2000, Strand7, Rhino/Grasshopper, or equivalent. * Excellent understanding of aluminum, glass, and steel structures used in façade systems. * Strong knowledge of wind load analysis, thermal movement, anchorage design, and material behavior. * Ability to interpret architectural drawings and translate them into structural solutions. * Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Membership in a recognized engineering body (e.g., ICE, IStructE, or equivalent) is an advantage.
