**Job Overview** We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Site Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical systems and infrastructure on our manufacturing or industrial site. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for innovation, strong technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to drive continuous improvement across our site. **Duties** * Design, develop, and review electrical systems including power distribution, control systems, and automation components using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation. * Lead installation and commissioning of electrical equipment, ensuring adherence to NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 compliance, and local electrical building codes. * Conduct root cause analysis on electrical failures or system malfunctions using debugging tools, oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, and simulation software like MATLAB or Simulink. * Collaborate with project teams to develop detailed project schedules for electrical system upgrades or new installations, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints. * Perform system development verification through engineering testing, firmware programming in languages such as C++, Python or Perl, and validation of control systems involving PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). * Troubleshoot electrical issues in real-time during manufacturing processes or system operation, applying circuit design principles and electronics troubleshooting techniques. * Create detailed schematics and technical documentation for electrical systems using engineering design standards; maintain accurate records for compliance audits. * Support manufacturing teams by integrating automation solutions involving surface mount technology (SMT), robotics, vision inspection systems, and control systems to enhance productivity. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience in industrial automation or manufacturing environments. * Proven expertise in electronics design including PCB layout design for complex circuits involving FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), SoC (System on Chip), and signal processing modules. * Strong knowledge of electrical system design standards such as NEC and mechanical knowledge related to surface mount technology and soldering techniques. * Experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or MicroStation; proficiency in simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink is highly desirable. * Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, Python, Perl, and scripting for automation tasks; experience with firmware development is a plus. * Ability to perform engineering troubleshooting using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and multimeters; experience with industrial control systems including ARM-based microcontrollers or Arduino platforms is advantageous. * Knowledge of industrial safety standards including NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) codes; ability to ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations. * Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical expertise to support mechanical integration of electrical components within larger systems. * Excellent project scheduling skills to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards across all phases of system development and deployment.
