Site Engineer (Civil Construction)

Job Overview A **Site Engineer (Civil Construction)** is responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating construction activities on-site to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to engineering specifications and quality standards. They work closely with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and workers to oversee daily site operations. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the project site. * Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents. * Ensure construction work complies with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. * Conduct site inspections and quality checks. * Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors. * Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports. * Perform measurements and verify quantities of materials used. * Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. * Identify and resolve technical issues during construction. * Ensure proper use of construction materials and equipment. * Maintain site documentation, including inspection records and work reports. * Support health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements on-site. Required Skills & Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. * Experience in construction site supervision or civil engineering projects. * Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering standards. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Good communication and leadership abilities. * Familiarity with AutoCAD, project management software, and engineering tools. * Understanding of safety regulations and quality control procedures. Preferred Experience * Residential, commercial, infrastructure, road, or industrial construction experience. * Experience coordinating with contractors and site teams. * Knowledge of surveying, concrete works, structural works, and site inspections. Typical Work Environment * Construction sites, including buildings, roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects. * Usually full-time, with extended hours depending on project deadlines. * Requires frequent outdoor work and coordination with multiple teams.
