Software Engineer - Node.JS

Our partner network covers MEA region with international access to messaging hubs worldwide and our clients include major banks, credit cards, digital payments, OTT applications, government authorities, health and education, and other industry verticals. **PURPOSE OF ROLE** We're looking for a passionate, problem-solving software engineer to join our team and help build scalable, high-performance messaging and automation systems. You'll work across the stack, from designing robust backend services to integrating modern AI capabilities and third-party messaging platforms. If you love clean architecture, thoughtful system design, and shipping products that handle real-world scale, we'd love to hear from you. * Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs * Architect systems with performance, reliability, and scale in mind * Build and optimize message-queue-driven workflows and asynchronous processing * Develop interactive, node-based UIs for workflow and automation builders using React Flow * Integrate with third-party platforms, including Meta APIs, the WhatsApp Business Platform, and payment gateways * Work with AI/ML features such as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and ranking systems * Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teammates * Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to technical decisions **Requirements** * **Must-Have Skills** * + 2+ years of professional software engineering experience + Strong proficiency in Node.js and Python + Hands-on experience with message queues: BullMQ and ActiveMQ + Solid understanding of system design and scalable system architecture + Experience with MongoDB and Redis + Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic engineering mindset + Excellent communication skills and a genuine team-player attitude * **Nice-to-Have** * + Experience integrating payment gateways (billing, transactions, webhooks, reconciliation) + Front-end experience with React and React Flow for node-based / diagram UIs + Experience working with Meta APIs and the WhatsApp Business API / Cloud API + Practical experience with RAG pipelines and ranking / relevance systems + Comfortable leveraging modern AI developer tools (e.g., Claude) to boost productivity and code quality + Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD practices * **What We Value** * + Curiosity and a drive to keep learning + Ownership: you care about outcomes, not just tasks + Clear, honest communication and collaboration
