📢 We're Hiring – Accounting Manager 📍 Alnajar Steel | Erbil, Temar (near Mamzawa), Kurdistan Region, Iraq 🏢 On-site | 🕒 Full-time | Saturday – Thursday About the Role Alnajar Steel is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting function in Erbil. You will own the day-to-day accounting operations, deliver accurate and timely financial statements, and manage and develop the accounting team. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations: journal entries, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports Oversee month-end and year-end closing, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery Maintain the fixed asset register — capitalization, depreciation schedules, and asset tracking Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities, and support management decision-making Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors Supervise, train, and develop the accounting team Work cross-functionally with procurement, sales, and operations Maintain and improve accounting records and processes within the company ERP system Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accounting Manager or in a senior accounting role Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Strong command of financial statements and financial reporting Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support decision-making Solid experience with journal entries and general ledger management Knowledge of fixed assets — capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team and work cross-functionally Advanced Excel skills Fluent in Kurdish ,advantage Arabic and English Knowledge of Odoo ERP is a plus How to Apply Apply directly through LinkedIn, or send your CV to [email protected] 📞 +964 750 478 9724
