In keeping with our Planet Passionate sustainability strategy, our mission is to accelerate a net zero emissions future built environment with the wellbeing of people and planet at its heart. **About the Role** We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the smooth operation of the company's accounting functions. You will report into the Financial Controller and work closely with the wider Finance team, Sales, Customer Service and Operations teams. **Key Responsibilities** Maintain accurate accounting records and financial ledgers Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Perform bank, credit card, and supplier reconciliations Prepare and issue sales invoices Process supplier invoices and payments Maintain fixed asset and expense records Prepare VAT returns and other statutory filings as required Liaise with suppliers, customers, and external auditors when necessary Support month-end and year-end financial close processes Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations **Qualifications, Experience & Skills** **Experience:** Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the UAE **Skills** * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adapting approach when necessary in order to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. * Must have excellent timekeeping with the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative. * Proficient in the MS office suite and SAP experience an advantage. * Experience supporting month-end reporting activities * Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements * Acting as brand ambassador for Kingspan Tate at all times. **Preferred Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline * ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification (completed or in progress) * 2-5 years of accounting experience Stay connected with us on *LinkedIn* for insights into life at Tate.
