Site Supervisor – Ducting & Chilled Water

We are looking for an experienced **Site Supervisor – Ducting & Chilled Water** to supervise and coordinate HVAC installation works at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing ducting, chilled water piping, insulation, testing, and related HVAC activities while ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules. The role requires strong site coordination skills and the ability to manage technicians, subcontractors, materials, and daily work activities efficiently. Key Responsibilities * Supervise the installation of **HVAC ducting and chilled water piping systems** at project sites. * Ensure all works are carried out as per approved **shop drawings, method statements, project specifications, and consultant requirements**. * Supervise duct fabrication and installation, including supports, hangers, dampers, flexible connections, insulation, and accessories. * Monitor installation of chilled water piping, valves, fittings, supports, insulation, and related equipment. * Coordinate daily HVAC activities with MEP engineers, project engineers, site engineers, civil teams, and other trades. * Ensure proper coordination of ducting and chilled water services with electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, ceiling, and architectural works. * Identify site clashes and immediately report technical issues to the concerned engineer. * Allocate manpower and assign daily tasks to technicians and helpers. * Monitor workforce productivity and ensure planned activities are completed according to the project programme. * Verify that materials delivered to site are approved and comply with project requirements. * Maintain proper storage and handling of HVAC materials and equipment. * Ensure required tools, equipment, and materials are available before starting installation activities. * Conduct site inspections and ensure workmanship meets required quality standards. * Coordinate inspection requests with the QA/QC team and project engineers. * Rectify consultant comments, NCRs, punch-list items, and installation defects within the required timeframe. * Support pressure testing, flushing, air balancing, commissioning, and other HVAC testing activities. * Ensure proper identification and protection of completed installations. * Monitor compliance with HSE requirements, toolbox talks, PPE usage, and safe working practices. * Maintain daily site progress records, manpower reports, material requirements, and work completion updates. * Coordinate with supervisors and foremen of other trades to avoid delays and work conflicts. * Ensure all activities are completed according to approved schedules and project deadlines. * Assist the engineering team during inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover. * Ensure all outstanding works and snag items are closed before project completion. Required Qualifications * Diploma / ITI / Technical Certificate in Mechanical, HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related technical field. * Relevant technical training in HVAC ducting and chilled water systems is preferred. * Knowledge of HVAC drawings, duct layouts, chilled water piping layouts, and coordination drawings. Experience Requirements * Minimum **5–7 years of relevant HVAC site experience**. * Previous UAE/GCC experience is strongly preferred. * Experience in **interior fit-out, commercial, or MEP projects** will be an advantage. * Strong hands-on experience in both **ducting and chilled water installation**. * Experience supervising HVAC technicians, ductmen, pipefitters, insulators, and helpers. Technical Skills * Strong knowledge of HVAC ducting systems. * Good knowledge of chilled water piping systems. * Ability to read and understand shop drawings and coordination drawings. * Knowledge of duct supports, hangers, dampers, insulation, and HVAC accessories. * Knowledge of chilled water valves, fittings, supports, insulation, and pressure testing. * Understanding of HVAC testing, flushing, balancing, and commissioning procedures. * Familiarity with UAE project quality and safety requirements. * Basic knowledge of material take-off and manpower planning. Competencies * Strong site supervision and manpower-management skills. * Good communication and coordination skills. * Ability to work under project deadlines. * Strong problem-solving ability. * Attention to quality and installation details. * Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, subcontractors, technicians, and other trades. * Strong understanding of site safety requirements. Preferred Candidate Profile * Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred. * UAE/GCC project experience is highly desirable. * Experience in fast-track **interior fit-out and MEP projects** is preferred. * Immediate joiners will be an advantage.
