Automation Engineer

**About Finclutech** Finclutech is a Dubai-based technology company that builds and operates digital financial products and services across multiple international markets. **The Role** **We are looking for an Automation Engineer with a strong software development background to design,** build, and maintain automation and AI-driven systems that support our technology, data, and operational workflows—including internal knowledge systems, AI-powered solutions, tool integrations, database connections, data pipelines, and reporting dashboards. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role reporting to the Chief Digital Officer(CDO). You will take a described business process or project and independently design, develop, integrate, test, build, deploy, and maintain production-ready solutions, working across multiple products, markets, and business units. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, build, and maintain automation workflows that connect AI models to business processes * Build and maintain internal knowledge systems and knowledge bases * Configure and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations and other AI tool connections * Connect and maintain databases, and build reliable data pipelines between systems * Build and maintain internal dashboards and reporting tools * Integrate third-party APIs and tools into existing systems and workflows * Take a described business process or project brief and independently deliver a working solution end to end **Requirements** * Hands-on experience with Claude (Anthropic), including Claude Code, the Claude Agent SDK/API, prompt design, and tool-using agents * Experience building or configuring MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations * Working knowledge of other leading AI models (e.g. GPT, Gemini) and the judgment to select the right tool for a task * Experience building automations and agentic workflows using APIs, webhooks, schedulers, and event triggers * Proficiency in SQL and experience working with production or read-replica databases * Experience building dashboards and reports directly from underlying data * Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g. Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) * Comfortable with Git and standard version control practices * Able to read and safely modify an existing codebase * 2+ years of hands-on experience building software, automations, or AI-integrated tools * Fluent English, written and spoken * Based in or willing to relocate to Dubai, UAE, and able to work on-site **Nice to Have** * Experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated industry * Experience working across multiple countries, currencies, or regulatory environments * Familiarity with real-time data pipelines or feeds * DevOps/infrastructure exposure — Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud platforms * Experience building internal tools independently in a lean or fast-moving environment Application Question(s): * Do you have hands-on software development experience (Python or JavaScript/TypeScript)? * How many years of professional software development experience do you have? * Do you have hands-on experience integrating AI models (Claude, OpenAI GPT, Gemini, or similar) into software applications? * Which programming language are you most proficient in? * Have you worked with SQL databases in a production environment? * Have you worked with Claude, Claude Code, MCP (Model Context Protocol), OpenAI, or Gemini APIs?
