Commercial Manager

**Job Responsibilities** * Lead and manage all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from pre-award to final account. * Oversee project budgets, cost control, cash flow forecasting, and financial performance. * Review, negotiate, and administer contracts with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. * Manage procurement strategies and ensure cost-effective purchasing in coordination with the procurement team. * Supervise Quantity Surveyors and provide guidance on measurements, valuations, variations, and claims. * Prepare and review project valuations, interim payment applications, and final accounts. * Identify, evaluate, and manage commercial risks and recommend mitigation strategies. * Evaluate and negotiate subcontract agreements, variations, and payment certifications. * Monitor project costs against budgets and prepare regular commercial reports for management. * Ensure timely preparation and submission of variation claims, extension of time (EOT) claims, and contractual correspondence. * Coordinate with project managers, planning engineers, finance, and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved. * Review tender documents, pricing strategies, and commercial terms during the bidding stage. * Ensure compliance with contract conditions, company policies, and UAE construction regulations. * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. * Support dispute resolution, contract negotiations, and commercial settlements when required. * Mentor and develop the commercial team to improve performance and efficiency. **Requirements** * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. * **5–10 years of experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the UAE construction industry.** * Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, contract administration, commercial management, and cost control. * Proven experience managing commercial aspects of high-rise, residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects. * Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills. * Strong understanding of procurement, budgeting, forecasting, claims, and final accounts. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial management software. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * UAE Driving License is preferred.
